Richfield Community Center Annual Fall Boutique


When: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013.

Where: Richfield Community Center, 7000 Nicollet Ave. S.

Cost: Entrance is free. To enter the drawing for the quilt, tickets can be purchased 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the community center. Each ticket is $1, or six for $5 or 10 for $13. 

Details: This annual event features two floors of hand crafted items, refreshments and a quilt giveaway. For more information, call 612-861-9385.

Richfield Farmers Market


The Richfield Farmers Market at Veterans Memorial Park will be closing for the season after Saturday, Oct. 26.

The following is what market-goers can expect on Saturday:

Come help us celebrate the end of the farmers market this season! 

We'll have jams & jellies, honey and maple syrup, tamales, all natural beef, cheese and bison products, bread and other baked goods, cookies, pickles and pickled vegetables, plus the last of the season's produce (weather depending, of course!).

The market, which is open from 8 a.m. to noon, accepts EBT cards, WIC vouchers and FMNP checks, Credit/Debit cards.

Richfield Pumpkin Patch


From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 27, bring the family to Veterans Memorial Park for the Second Annual Richfield Pumpkin Patch.

According to an event release from Wheel Fun Rentals:

"Event wristbands are just $19 for kids 3-17 and includes mini-golf, unlimited games, inflatables and a pumpkin. Kid’s $14 wristbands includes everything except mini-golf. Adult wristbands are $9 and $5, and Seniors are free. Schools and groups are welcome to make arrangements for weekday visits; for group reservations please call (612) 861-9348."

Southtown Halloween Boo Bash

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013.

Where: Southtown Center, I-494 and Penn Avenue in Bloomington.

Details: A scarecrow will make balloon animals, a witch will hand out candy, and kids can pick a pumpkin from Southtown’s Pumpkin Patch (one free pumpkin per child while supplies last).

RHS Alumni Giving Fund Kick Off Event


When: 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013.

Where: Richfield American Legion Post 435, 6501 Portland Ave. S.

Cost: $30 per adult, with an additional adult guest ticket being $20 and $5 for each child.

Details: Members of Richfield High School graduating classes have come together to establish a giving fund to help fellow grads in times of need. The goal of the Saturday event is to raise $10,000 to officially create the nonprofit foundation.
