KSTP: Richfield Pool Not Losing Money Selling Healthier Food

Mmmmmm ... fruit smoothies at the pool.

The City of Richfield still expects to take in $60,000 from food sales at the city pool, despite broadening the menu to include treats that are better for you, according to KSTP-TV

The menu now offers healthy alternatives like frozen yogurt and fruit smoothies.  They've also started selling Snickers "Marathon Bars" which satisfy a candy craving, but have less salt and less fat than regular candy bars. ...

"I was skeptical at first," said Brandon Klement with the City of Richfield.  But he says sales have not decreased.
