PHOTOS: Richfield Holds Annual Urban Wildland Half Marathon, 5K
Hundreds of runners made a trip to Richfield Saturday morning to compete in the annual event.

Rain and drizzle didn't stop more than 1,100 runners from taking their mark at Richfield's annual Urban Wildland Half Marathon and 5K Saturday morning.
Brian Sames of Shakopee took top honors in the half marathon finishing the 13.1-mile run at 1:14:30, while Sean Fox of Northfield took first in the 5K with a time of 18:32.
This year marked the 10-year anniversary of the race and all proceeds help fund the partnership between Richfield Public Schools and . All Richfield school children get the opportunity to learn about the environment by visiting the center throughout the year.
