Richfield Legion Baseball Team Ends Play at Gopher Classic With Two-Straight Wins
The Legion baseball team won two games on Sunday to end pool play in North St. Paul

Richfield ended the tournament with a 2-3 record, bouncing back from three straight losses to win its final two games of the tournament on Sunday. Richfield defeated West Fargo, ND, 3-0 before beating North St. Paul 5-0 at McKnight Legion Field.
Richfield opened up the tournament with a 9-8, eight-inning loss to Coon Rapids on Friday. The squad then took later that day and lost 5-3 to Watertown, SD, on Saturday.

Coon Rapids won the pool with a 5-0 record. Coon Rapids will face DePere, WI, at 12 p.m. on Monday at Braemar Park in Edina in the round of 16. With two wins on Monday, Coon Rapids would advance to Tuesday’s semifinal round taking place at Veterans Field in Minnetonka.
