REPLAY: Richfield Defeats Red Wing in Tournament Opener

The Spartans girls basketball team held on to win and advance to the semifinal round.

The girls basketball team came back from an early deficit to defeat Red Wing 68-53 in the Class AAA state tournament opener Wednesday morning.

This is Richfield's first trip to the state tournament.

Next up is a matchup with the winner of the Hill-Murray/Hutchinson game at noon Thursday at Target Center.
