Richfield Runners Kick-Off Season at De'Boom Invite
Saturday marked the first cross country meet of the season for Richfield.
The (RHS) boys and girls cross country varsity teams placed sixth and fifth, respectively, at their first meet of the season Saturday.
Richfield was one of 10 schools that participated in the De'Boom Invite Saturday, which was held at Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis. The boys ran a 2 mile course and the girls ran 1.5 miles for this race of the season.

- placed third in the girls varsity race;
- Nathan Libra placed third in the boys JV race;
- Spencer Bainbridge placed 10th in the boys JV race;
- Ian Stemper placed fifth in the boys ninth-grade race;
- Spencer Bergen placed eighth in the boys 9th grade race.
The top team was Blake for both boys and girls.
RHS next meet will be the Dakota Classic on *Sept. 2 in Eagan.
