Despite an unexpected loss to Red Wing Thursday, the Richfield High School girls basketball team brought its best to the court Saturday to snag the Class AAA third place title at the state tournament.
The Lady Spartans took on Monticello High School at Concordia College Saturday afternoon, winning the matchup 64-39.
The team's unfortunate loss to Red Wing in the semifinals, sent the Wingers to the finals to compete against defending champs DeLaSalle. Red Wing lost 65-50.
