MnDOT Hosts Open House on I-494/i-35W Exchange Oct. 3
Informal event in Richfield offers a chance to ask about interchange design and a future transit station and park-and-ride.
The Interstate 494/I-35W interchange and transitway options will be the topic at an informal open house sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) on Oct. 3, 2013, 4:30–6:30 p.m., at Saint Richard's Catholic Church in Richfield.
It's a chance to review and give feedback on preliminary design concepts for the interchange and transitway options to MnDOT, Metro Transit and Bloomington and Richfield city staff.
MnDOT is developing a concept for the I-494/I-35W interchange that addresses safety, congestion and roadway stormwater drainage.
Metro Transit is also looking at options for a new transitway station and park-and-ride near American Boulevard, linked to a planned METRO Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
