Voter Registration Deadline Is Tuesday, Oct.16

In Minnesota, eligible voters must be registered at their current residence by Tuesday, Oct. 16, in order for their names to appear on the polling place roster.

Those who are eligible to vote in November's election must make sure they are registered to do so by end of business Tuesday.

In Minnesota, eligible voters must be registered at their current residence by Tuesday, Oct. 16, in order for their names to appear on the polling place roster. 

Any individual who will be an eligible voter on Nov. 6 may register to vote. Registration is permanent, provided the voter has not changed residence or his/her name and has voted at least once in the past four years.

Minnesota Law does allow voters to register on Election Day; however, it will take additional time at the polling place, and the voter will need to provide identification as prescribed by law.

Eligible residents can download a Voter Registration Application from the city's website. Just print the application, complete it, and return it to the City of Richfield, Hennepin County or the Secretary of State’s office. Residents may also register in person during regular business hours.
