Richfield Police Blotter: Assaults, Thefts & More

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the ’s Crime Reports from Oct. 6, 2011, detailing incidents from Oct. 2-5.

A man reported his wallet was stolen at Oct. 2 while he was outside having a cigarette. The victim located the wallet after taking a walk south on Penn Avenue. His Wells Fargo check card was the only thing reported missing.

A 42-year-old Minneapolis man was charged with assault Oct. 2.

Two burglaries were reported on the 6300 block of Blaisdell Avenue Oct. 2.

A man reported that while he was shopping at his vehicle was damaged by an apparent hit and run Oct. 2.

A resident reported receiving harassing communications Oct. 2.

A man reported that he was concerned his daughter was being sexually abused on Oct. 2.

A woman reported that three females assaulted her on Oct. 3.

Three juveniles were cited for marijuana possession Oct. 3.

An iPad was reported stolen from an office on the 7700 block of Portland Avenue Oct. 3.

A man was cited for marijuana possession Oct. 4.

A student reported that her cell phone, which is valued at $400, was taken from her desk while at school Oct. 4.

Officers responded to a disturbance in a parking lot on 66th Street and Nicollet Avenue on Oct. 4. The suspect allegedly made racial comments to the victims.

A student was referred to an officer on Oct. 4 regarding a possible assault incident at home.

Police responded to the 7100 block of Cedar Avenue after 911 hang-up call on Oct. 4. The male party was charged with assault.

A taxi driver reported that he was robbed after dropping off a rider on the 7000 block of Cedar Avenue.

A 29-year-old Richfield man was charged with DUI after refusing to submit to a sobriety test on Oct. 5.
