Police Investigate Death, Crime Scene At Richfield Home

Police responded to a report of an assault just before 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

Richfield police are investigating the death of a 48-year-old man Sunday morning.

According to a police press release, police responded to a report of an assault in progress at 4:53 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1 on the 7300 block of 12th Avenue.

The victim was located in the house when police arrived. The victim had sustained multiple puncture wounds, and first responders administered first aid. The 48-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.

Two individuals were taken to the Richfield Police Department for questioning, and one was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. According to the release, the person taken to the hospital is being held for questioning.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time. Police are not looking for any other suspects and there is no danger to the community, according to the release.
