UPDATED: Richfield Gas Leak Contained
Richfield Public Safety reported the "minor" leak had been contained around 10 a.m. this morning.

The gas leak near 66th Street and Penn Avenue has been contained.
According to the Richfield Public Safety Department's Facebook page:

"There is no danger. The minor leak was contained/repaired."
Police say construction workers struck a gas line near 66th Street and Oliver Avenue this morning, but emergency and utility crews responded to the scene.

Traffic was temporarily diverted from the area, however, returned to normal flow around 10 a.m. Reports indicate the gas leak was minor.

A gas leak has shut down local traffic in one area of Richfield Friday morning.
Ben Brown asked on Twitter at about 9:45 a.m. Friday:
intersection of 66th and Penn in Richfield has been shut down for over an hour. Lots of emergency vehicles. Any idea what is happening?
WCCO-AM reported that there was a gas leak in the area but described it as "minor."
The Star Tribune's The Drive blog said scanner chatter also called it a gas leak.
