Richfield-Based Best Buy Named Top Retailer by STORES Magazine

The company is honored as a top retailer.

Richfield-based Best Buy was recently ranked ninth on STORES Magazine's 2011 Top 100 Retailers list.

The annual report highlights the retail industry's so-called "power players," according to a Best Buy press release, and is based on retail sales in 2010.

While an article on STORES Magazine's website indicates the companies named to the 2011 Top 10 list were the same as in 2010, Best Buy moved up from 10th place in 2010 to ninth in 2011, trading places with Sears Holdings. The switch is due to Best Buy showing some sales gains in areas where others may have decreased.
