Richfield's local soul artist is teaming up with nonprofit Rock the Cause for the release of her latest album, Hiding Under the Covers Vol. 2 at 7 p.m. June 8 at the Varsity Theater.

Rock the Cause CEO Scott Herold wrote that her latest album is "a gritty tour de force collection of songs by Tom Waits, Radiohead, Cat Stevens, Elliot Smith, and more served up in Scott's deeply soulful and unique vocal style."

In addition, her fellow bandmate and song co-writer, Kevin Bowe, and his band The Okemah Prophets, will also be releasing their album Natchez Trace the same night.

All proceeds from the concert will benefit Rock the Cause, which aims to engage young people to build communities through music, social media, and volunteerism. Tickets at the door are $15 for adults and $12 for students with an ID. For more ticket information, visit varsitytheater.org.
