Want to Be Part of 'The Biggest Flea Market Richfield Has Ever Seen'?

As part of the 2013 Open Streets at Penn Fest celebration, Richfield Visions is planning a enormous flea market.

For those of you nifty crafters, artists or small business owners out there, think about taking your product to the streets.

To the streets of Penn Fest that is.

As part of the second annual Open Streets at Penn Fest on Sunday, Sept. 15, Richfield Visions Inc. is staging a giant flea market. (One that the organization said will be "the biggest flea market Richfield has ever seen.")

Interested in participating? Here are the details:

  • For $25, vendors will be able to secure a 20-foot-wide by 10-foot-deep space.
  • Booths will start immediately north of 72nd Street and Penn Avenue, and proceed north on both sides of the avenue. The Richfield Farmers Market will be right next to the start of the flea market.
  • Signage will be placed at 66th Street and Penn to encourage attendees to move southbound to the flea market.
Any dollars generated from the sale of booth space will go to provide musical entertainment along Penn Avenue during this year's festivities. Richfield Visions Inc. is solely responsible for all aspects of the flea market event, with locals John Bjostad and Bob Houlton serving as co-chairs. Contact Bjostad at jbojstad@comcast.net for an application.

Open Streets at Penn Fest will run from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 15. Penn Avenue from 76th Street to Highway 62 will be closed to through traffic.
