Richfield Church to Create Community Garden

Richfield's House of Prayer to hold first community meeting to discuss garden plans May 4.

Richfield's recently received a SHIP (Statewide Health Improvement Program) grant to create a community garden on the church property for community members to participate in gardening and also enjoy the fruits, and vegetables, of their labor.

To begin the project, the church is holding its first "Reaching Richfield" Community Garden meeting May 4.

"At this time, we are planning the layout and design so it is undetermined as to the actual crops that will be growing," said Kim Houle, of House of Prayer.

The Wednesday meeting will hopefully establish a committee of neighbors, church members and interested gardeners to help spearhead the project.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at House of Prayer Lutheran Church. All are welcome to attend. For more details, see the attached flier.
