Drunk at a Drive-Thru & Stabbing With a Kitchen Knife: Police Blotter

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department's crime reports from July 8, 2013. Below are the incidents from June 30 through July 2.

June 30

  • A female juvenile was located on the 6500 block of Penn Avenue. She was cited for a curfew violation and underage consumption, and released to her father.
  • A wallet and a cell phone were reportedly stolen from a woman on the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue.
  • Police were dispatched to Motel 6 on a customer dispute report. The customer was later cited for disorderly conduct, given a no trespass notice and transported out of the area.
  • Police responded to a report of a drunk driver at Burger King's drive-thru window. Contact was made with the female driver, who was arrested for DWI. She was latter taken to jail after refusing to provide a formal alcohol test.
July 1
  • Police responded to a report of a fight between three or four men on the 700 block of 66th Street. Two males were arrested for fighting and another was arrested on a warrant.
  • Police responded to a burglary on the 7100 block of Portland Avenue. An unknown suspect had attempted to gain entry to a locked storage facility.
  • Police took a report of a pickpocketing incident at the station.
  • A victim reported that an unknown person had used her debit card to make $394 in unauthorized purchases. There are no suspects.
  • Police responded to a report of an assault on the 7600 block of Lyndale Avenue.
  • A victim reported that a female possibly store his wallet.
  • Graffiti was reportedly found in a back alley on the 6600 block of Girard Avenue.
  • A victim reported that his vehicle had been vandalized. The owner was unsure when the damage occurred.
  • Officers took a report of $516.82 in fraudulent charges being made to a victim's credit card.
  • Police responded to an assault report on the 6300 block of Nicollet Avenue. An adult male was issued a citation.
  • A female reported  personal items left at Augsburg Park Library had been taken.
  • A driver was cited for marijuana possession during a routine traffic stop.
July 2
  • Police responded to a disturbance on the 7400 block of 13th Avenue. An adult female was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
  • Police responded to a disturbance on the 7600 block of 18th Avenue. An adult male was transported to detox and issued a citation.
  • A driver was issued a citation for drug paraphernalia possession after being stopped for a minor traffic violation.
  • Police responded to an assault on the 6200 block of Harriet Avenue. Upon arrival, police discovered that during a domestic argument, a female half-stabbed a male in the leg with a kitchen knife. The female was arrested and taken to jail.
  • A victim reported that an unknown person stole her wallet and attempted to use her credit cards.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen from the 6600 block of Pleasant Avenue.
  • Super America, 826 W. 66th St., reported a gas theft of $23.35.
  • Two bicycles were reported stolen from the 6500 block of Lyndale Avenue. There are no suspects.
  • A vehicle was reported stolen and later recovered in Minneapolis.
  • A 27-year-old Richfield woman was arrested for third-degree DWI.
