56 Richfield Runners Finish Twin Cities Marathon

Among the 8,849 runners who finished the 26.2-mile 2013 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Sunday, Oct. 6 were 56 from Richfield.

The race began near the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis and finished at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul.

Fastest Richfield Finishers

Richfield resident Meghan Peyton, 27, finished with a time of 2:38:57. She placed 77th out of 8,849 runners, ninth out of 3,928 female runners, and fourth for her female age group.

Jeremy Doden, 29, finished with a time of 2:54:55. He placed 186th overall, 156th out of 4,919 male runners, and 65th for his male age group.

Overall Winners

Arizona resident Nick Arciniaga won the 2013 Twin Cities Marathon men’s race with a time of 2:13:11, according to a StarTribune.com report. Former Minnesota resident Annie Bersagel won the woman’s title with a time of 2:30:52.
