It's technically spring but still feels like winter, so why not mark the transition at the season's final winter market organized by a pair or Minneapolis neighborhood farmers markets? The Kingfield Farmers Market and Fulton Farmers Market are most active in the summertime, but you can get a taste of what's to come on Saturday, March 23, 2013, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., The event at Bachman's on Lyndale Avenue at 60th features a long list of food and other items, including two brews selected via social media. Winners of a Facebook poll to determine a pair of local beers at the event are Indeed Brewing Company's Daytripper Pale Ale and Moojoos Oatmeal Milk Stout from Brau Brothers Brewing Co. I thought it was a lovely event, something that I hope will continue after the site is developed. Of course, we can't always expect to have such a mild and pleasant night. But I thought it was a great idea, well carried out. more ›
