Minneapolis Man Charged in Richfield Stabbing

Police say Patrick Donnell Bigby stabbed a man in the neck near 66th Street and Nicollet Avenue early Tuesday morning.

A 46-year-old Minneapolis man has been charged in connection with the stabbing that occurred in Richfield the morning of Tuesday, March 5. Patrick Donnell Bigby was charged with two felony counts of second degree assault Wednesday, March 6. According to Richfield police, officers and rescue personnel responded to a report of a stabbing near the area of 66th Street and Nicollet Avenue at 1:29 a.m. Tuesday. Read the original story on this incident here. When police arrived, the victim was found with a stab wound to the neck. Aid was administered and Hennepin County paramedic transported him to Hennepin County Medical Center for further treatment. Two pieces of a broken cane were found near the crime scene as well.
