It's my understanding that the amt of money taken is never disclosed in order to not give the public the impression how easy it is to do this to get a lg sum of money? Very sad people lower themselves to do this. It appears as time goes on law enforcement has changed how they name crimes. For instance, a "burglary of a dwelling" is now called a "home invasion".
