Do you think there will be an inch of snow on Christmas Day?
Minnesota's strange weather the past few weeks has many wondering whether or not Sunday will be a white Christmas. Technically, it's a white Christmas if there is an inch of snow or more on the ground Christmas Day. Anything less, a brown Christmas. The last brown Christmas was in 2006. Snow began falling mid-morning Friday, with the National Weather Service predicting up to an inch in some of the metro area. So, will the snow stick around through the weekend? The NWS and local meteorologists may say no, but Minnesota is always unpredictable. Tell us what you think by taking the poll and writing in the comments below.

Richfield Patch updates readers on current weather conditions.
While earlier in the day Tuesday the National Weather Service predicted between one and three inches of snow to fall overnight with another one or two throughout the day Wednesday, now that number is down to about two inches total. About one inch is possible on both Tuesday night and Wednesday throughout the day. In addition, Wednesday's high temperature is predicted around 35, so the snow may not stay long. Although the snowfall won't be as heavy as anticipated, Richfield's snow emergency ordinance automatically goes into effect after two or more inches has fallen. Richfield, Twin Cities expecting snow throughout week.
Snow is possible nearly everyday this week, according to the National Weather Service website. Sunday evening snow will likely taper around 1 a.m. Monday and there is a 20 percent chance of snow Monday night and Tuesday during the day. The most likely days for snow are Tuesday evening and Wednesday, with Thursday bringing sunshine and a high around 31 degrees. Snow is also possible Friday. Total accumulations on any given day were not estimated. Richfield Patch will continue to update readers on this week's weather conditions.

Richfield Public Works prepares for snow removal
Chris Link, director of Streets and Forestry in Richfield Public Works, told Patch Sunday evening that a snow emergency exists until Feb. 21 until after streets have been plowed curb to curb. In order to avoid being ticketed or towed, speak with neighbors, landlords, or friends to make arrangements for parking your vehicle off the street, Link said.
