Cole went missing Jan. 9, 2013.
Scott Thompson is still on the hunt for his son's missing black cat, Cole. Cole snuck out of a Richfield home near the 6800 block of Nicollet on Jan. 9. But, after nearly two months of searching, Thompson said he's still holding out hope. "I’m still confident that if any cat could survive the nasty cold stretch we had, it would be [Cole]," Thompson said in an e-mail to Patch. "Someone put on Craigslist a pet success story of a pet who had been missing for months that finally turned up." Thompson's son, 11-year-old Shawn, was heartbroken when Cole first went missing, but is dealing with the loss well, and also hoping for the cat's return. The cat has been missing since Jan. 9.
An 11-year-old Richfield boy, Shawn, has been missing his little, black cat, Cole, since Jan. 9. According to Shawn's father, Scott Thompson, the cat slipped out of the boy's mother's home on the 6800 block on Nicollet Avenue at some point during the day on Jan. 9. The missing feline is a 7 to 8 years old and is a short-to-medium, black haired cat with green eyes. He is a polydactyl, so his front paws are big. (Cole is declawed in the front, but not in the back.) He weighs roughly 14 pounds and one of his ears has a slight notch in it. While he wasn't wearing a tag when he left, he does have a microchip. He is also friendly and comes when called. If you have any information about Cole, please add the information in the comments section …

Youk was returned to his Richfield owners Wednesday, after nearly a week of being missing.
A Richfield couple has a member of its family back. Youk, a Chocolate Lab that went missing the morning of Dec. 27, 2012, is now home with owners Carly and Chris Harrison. Youk was found in Minneapolis and then taken to home in Cottage Grove to be looked after until his owners were found. The Harrisons got the happy e-mail Wednesday night after the caretakers found a Craigslist post about the missing pup. In a Facebook post following the good news, Carly Harrison wrote: "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!! I cannot say thank you enough! I am incredibly blessed to have amazing friends and am touched by all of the people that I have never even met that have reached out to me! It is amazing!!!!!" If you have lost, found or spotted a …

I`m so sorry about Cole. I live in the neighborhood & have asking everyone if they have seen him but had no luck. A cat jumped my fence & ate a rabbit about 4 or 5 days ago. May be I`ll chk my sec cameras & see if it was Cole. I know that won`t bring him back. There were cat tracks there & I saw him in my yard the day he went missing & I don`t see Laurie or the boys enough outside to have known. …   more ›
