Richfield Readers' Choice Presents: Battle of the Best Hometown Bar
This week's Richfield Readers' Choice contest asks voters to draw a line in the sand and pick their favorite hometown bar.
It's time for the biggest battle in all of Richfield Readers' Choice history. It's a battle of east versus west. Of two hometown bar and burger joints. Of two rivals vying for the title of Richfield Readers' Choice: Best Hometown Bar. You guessed it. It's Sandy's Tavern versus Frenchman's. (To review the bars in the directory, click on the name of the establishment highlighted in blue.) Cast your vote for your pick for the best hometown bar in the poll below. Voting ends at 9 p.m. Thursday, May 24. Your Richfield Patch editor will determine the Richfield Readers' Choice winner based on a combination of poll results and number of enthusiastic reader reviews in our Business Directory. We’ll announce the winner at noon Friday, May 25.

I live 5 houses from Frenchman's, and unfortunately, every time I've been there, the service and crowd are not 'friendly'. I've seen police & fights but more importantly, the employees are not welcoming. I can't say I'd go back (5 doors away; to not want to go there is sad!) I will drive across town for Sandy's before going to the Frenchman's again. more ›

Champp's and Sandy's are like apples and oranges. Both have extraordinary burgers, but Champp's burgers are a little on the gourmet end of the spectrum, while Sandy's burgers almost has a blue collar feeling to them. Any town you go to is going to have a hole-in-the-wall bar/tavern that will have great burgers and fried food, then there are places like Champp's. It all depends on what your … more ›
