'No Pants Day' 2013 Minneapolis Begins at Mall of America
The annual tradition stems from New York's No Pants Subway Ride.
Yep. You read the headline right. Sunday, Jan. 13 is No Pants Day and the fourth (or fifth) annual No Pants Subway Ride-Minneapolis event. The tradition was started in 2002 by Improv Everywhere in New York. Basically, a bunch of people get together and when they are waiting for the train, they take their pants off and ride the train. The event spread globally and is now hosted in dozens of cities from Lisbon, Portugual to Montreal, Canada. The Minneapolis event begins at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mall of America—just a hop skip and a jump over the Richfield border. Participants will meet at the lower level of the transit station at the mall. There will be a sign that reads "Plan B MN Improv" or "No Pants 2013." The ride ends at Target Field. …
