After being defeated by incumbent Congressman Keith Ellison, Fields reflects on the outcome of Election Day and encourages people to keep up their fight for a better America.
Editor's note: The following is a release from Chris Fields for Congress. Dear Friends, Last night was a very tough night for Republican candidates across the great state of Minnesota. In one night the State House and Senate went from red to blue. Seats that were traditionally “safe” lost in a landslide. This loss is tough for all of us. Keith Ellison (D) faced off at the Minnesota State Fair last week, during their first public debate over who should represent Minnesota's 5th District in the U.S. House. "It looks like a contest between two men. But it really is a contest between two different ways of viewing the world," Ellison told Patch after Wednesday’s Minnesota Public Radio debate at the State Fair. Fields pressed Ellison on what he called "failed policies" during a free-ranging debate that covered issues such as tax policy, job creation, healthcare and even favorite economists.
