Richfield Police Blotter: Weekend Incidents

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department’s Crime Reports from Oct. 3, 2011 detailing incidents from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. A 30-year-old Richfield man was charged with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession Sept. 29. After reporting that rental items had not been returned in July, Paul’s Rentals and Sales reported that some items had been returned Sept. 29. After being dispatched to the lot near Bally Total Fitness and Rainbow at the Hub Shopping Center on a report of a suspicious person looking in vehicles, Police cited the suspect with drug paraphernalia possession Sept. 29. Richfield Police Blotter: More Thefts Throughout the City

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department’s Incident Report from Aug. 29, detailing incidents from Aug. 25-27. Police are investigating a theft of a trailer of lawn care equipment valued at nearly $6,000. The incident occurred on the 6200 block of Irving Avenue on Aug. 25. Just a couple blocks away on the 6400 block of Humboldt, another resident reported that a $2,000 lawn mower had been stolen as well. Police investigated an attempted burglary on the 100 block of 70th Street East Aug. 25. Police investigated a property damage incident, in which a vehicle was ransacked on Aug. 25. Nothing was reportedly taken, however the Police did warn the victim of a recent spike in thefts from autos. A young …

Three Men Accused of Attacking, Robbing Man in Richfield

Jared Algerone Ray, Maxwell Dleon Smith and Corday Garrett Stamps were charged July 27, 2011.

Three men were taken into custody in Richfield after police said they accosted a man on the street, stole money from his pocket and then pulled a handgun on him when he demanded his money back. Jared Algerone Ray, 24, Maxwell Dleon Smith, 22, and Corday Garrett Stamps, 23, were apprehended by police July 27, 2011 at an apartment complex on the 700 block of East 78th Street. According to the police report, the victim was attacked by Smith and Stamps near the intersection of East 78th Street and Chicago Avenue just after 1 p.m. Smith and Stamps got out of a car driven by Ray and approached the victim on foot. The report said Stamps grabbed the victim and Smith began to punch him in the face, then reached into the victim’s pocket and took out…

Richfield Police Blotter: Assaults Pop-Up Throughout the City

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department's Incident and Arrest Reports from Aug. 1, detailing incidents from July 28-30. Police responded to a report of a stabbing at 820 65th St. W. on July 28. The suspects were gone when the officers arrived and two people had to be taken to the hospital. This comes just 10 days after the stabbing of a Richfield woman in an apartment complex. The incidents are not related. In addition, a man came in to the Richfield Public Safety Department office at Richfield City Hall July 29 to report that three individuals assaulted him the night before. He said the three suspects asked him to buy them alcohol from the Richfield Liquor Store on 64th Street and Lyndale Avenue…

Richfield Police Blotter: Multiple Thefts Reported Throughout City

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department’s Incident and Arrest Reports from July 28, detailing incidents from July 24-27. Police cited a vehicle and cited the driver for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession July 24. Police responded to a violation of an order of protection call July 24. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody. Police charged an individual with tampering with a motor vehicle July 24. Police responded to a report of an “out of control individual” on the 7200 block of 13th Avenue July 24. The suspect was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Richfield Police Blotter: Man Charged With Assault, Violating Order of Protection

And multiple theft from vehicle incidents happen over the weekend.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department’s crime reports Monday, detailing incidents from July 14-16. A man who reportedly assault his girlfriend and brother July 15 was taken in by Police on an outstanding warrant and violation of a no contact order. Police responded to a report of a fight at the home at 6339 Nicollet Avenue. Once they arrived those inside would not let them in. Later the Police learned of the outstanding warrant and the assault incident and took him into custody. Other incidents from July 14-16 included: Two juveniles were cited for curfew violations July 14. Richfield Police Blotter: Woman Opens Front Door to a Not-So-Nice Sight

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

According to the latest Richfield Public Safety crime reports, a Richfield resident, and substitute teacher, came out her front door the morning of July 11 after hearing a noise, only to discover her neighbors’ chairs stacked in her front yard with feces on them. Toilet paper was also strung about in a tree. The victim said she saw two white, juvenile males run from the area and get into a light colored SUV. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first harassment incident the woman has endured in the past week. According to the reports, she also reported that an unknown suspect lit a tampon on fire in front of her door on July 4.  Police have not found out what is causing the harassment.
