Little Free Libraries Pop-Up in Richfield

Two Richfield residents have joined the international movement.

Two years ago Todd Bol built the first Little Free Library and placed it in the front yard of his Hudson, WI home in honor of his mother, a former teacher and book lover who died more than a decade ago. Now, Little Free Libraries can be found in more than 40 states and 20 countries. Two have even popped up in Richfield at 6709 Bloomington Ave. S. and 6426 3rd Ave. S. The concept of the miniature libraries are simple: take a book, leave a book. The mission? To promote literacy, a love of reading and build a sense of community. Richfield Patch has created a map of Little Free Library locations in and near Richfield. For more locations or to build your own library, go to littlefreelibrary.org.
