Man Charged With Burglary After Breaking Into Ex's Home
Police say Rashaun Montice Chappell broke into his former residence and threatened to kill his child's mother's new boyfriend.
Rashaun Montice Chappell, 31, of Richfield, was recently charged with felony first-degree burglary after police say he broke into his ex's home. According to the criminal complaint, Richfield police responded to a residence on the 6200 block of Pleasant Avenue on Feb. 8. When officers arrived they learned the suspect, Chappell, was in the kitchen with a handgun. Police met with the victim, who said Chappell was the father of her child, but no longer lives with her. According to the complaint, the victim said she was in bed with her current boyfriend when they heard a pounding outside of the house.
