Richfield Police Blotter: Man Allegedly Threatens to Kill Roommate

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department's Incident and Arrest Reports from Sept. 26, 2011, detailing incidents from Sept. 22-24. A 40-year-old Richfield man was charged with three counts of assault after allegedly threatening to kill his live-in roommate Sept. 22. He was taken to Hennepin County Jail following the incident. A bicycle was stolen from a home on the 7500 block of Logan Avenue Sept. 22. A Richfield woman reported that an unknown person gained access to her apartment on the 1600 block of West 66th Street and had non-consensual sexual contact with her Sept. 22. Richfield Police Blotter: Woman Opens Front Door to a Not-So-Nice Sight

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

According to the latest Richfield Public Safety crime reports, a Richfield resident, and substitute teacher, came out her front door the morning of July 11 after hearing a noise, only to discover her neighbors’ chairs stacked in her front yard with feces on them. Toilet paper was also strung about in a tree. The victim said she saw two white, juvenile males run from the area and get into a light colored SUV. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first harassment incident the woman has endured in the past week. According to the reports, she also reported that an unknown suspect lit a tampon on fire in front of her door on July 4.  Police have not found out what is causing the harassment. Richfield Police Blotter: Four Charged With Robbery

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department’s Arrest and Incident Reports, detailing incidents from June 6-8. Richfield Public Safety officers charged four people with robbery after a Richfield man was robbed at gunpoint June 6. According to the police report, the man who was robbed was standing on 74th Street and Portland Avenue when a car pulled up. A man in the car pointed a gun at him and demanded he get on the ground. The robber took the man’s wallet and cell phone and then the car drove off. The victim was able to get the license plate number and Bloomington Police went to the address of the car’s registered owner and took three men and one woman into custody. Richfield Man Charged With Check Forgery

James Trenton Powell is accused of trying to cash counterfeit checks from a Minneapolis company at banks in Eagan and Columbia Heights.

A Richfield man has been charged with attempting to pass counterfeit checks at banks in Eagan and Columbia Heights. James Trenton Powell, 42, faces two felony charges for check forgery and offering a forged check, each of which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. According to the complaint against Powell, Eagan Police received a report Dec. 22, 2010 from US Bank’s corporate security division that two counterfeit checks had been passed at the bank’s branch at Byerly’s in Eagan and two others at the bank’s branch in Columbia Heights. The bank included surveillance photos from the transactions with the report. According to the bank’s documentation, a counterfeit check for $657.42, made out to a different man…

Richfield Police Blotter: Six Businesses Get Busted For Selling Tobacco to Minors

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from Richfield Public Safety Department's Incident and Arrest Reports from April 25. The reports detail incidents that occurred between April 21 and April 24. Six local gas stations and establishments did not pass Richfield Public Safety's tobacco compliance check April 23 after selling tobacco to decoy minors sent in by Richfield officers. A total of 26 businesses were checked that day. The following businesses did not pass: All businesses with the exception of Marathon were first time offenders and will be fined $200.
