Near Drowning Victim Makes Full Recovery

A 6-year-old girl fell into an in-ground pool in early December 2012.

The 6-year-old Richfield girl who was pulled unconcious from a pool in December 2012 has recovered from the near drowning incident, according to Richfield Police. At 10:56 a.m. on Dec. 9 Richfield Police responded to a home in the 7300 block of Garfield Avenue South. Upon arrival, two neighbors led officers to an in-ground swimming pool where an 8-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl were in the water. According to a Hennepin County Sheriff's Office news release from that day, the girl had fallen into the pool and the boy got in the pool in an attempt to help her. The pool was uncovered and was partially-filled with water, the release said. Two police officers and the neighbors got the children out of the pool. Follow Richfield Patch on …
