Richfield Man Arrested After High-Speed Go-Kart Chase

Harry Lee Bostick is charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, blowing through several red lights during the chase.

A Richfield man has been charged with leading police on a high-speed chase while in a go-kart. Harry Lee Bostick, 30, is charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, a felony with a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine. A Hennepin County sheriff’s deputy was southbound on Portland Avenue just before 3 p.m. Nov. 12 when he spotted a black go-kart in the 6400 block, heading north on Portland, according to the criminal complaint, signed by Hennepin County Sheriff’s Deputy Erik McKloskey. Because the go-kart had no lights, license or registration, the deputy turned his squad car around, activated his emergency lights and began pursuing the vehicle. Motorist Flees Police, Crashes Car After Attempting to Run a Man Over

Police say Joshua Dale Vredenburg chased a Richfield man through his yard with a vehicle, before leading police on a rush-hour chase, causing several accidents and a fire before crashing into a house.

A Goodhue, MN man has been charged two felonies after attempting to run over a man and leading police on a rush-hour chase through Richfield and Bloomington, during which he caused several accidents and a fire. Joshua Dale Vredenburg, 20, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, which carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine, and fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, for which the maximum penalty is three years in prison and a $5,000 fine. The assault charge has a mandatory minimum penalty of a year and a day in prison and a $4,200 fine. Police say Jesus Martin Luna-Ortega fled police in Bloomington, crashed his bike and then took off again before he was arrested in a hotel parking lot.
