Richfield Man Arrested After High-Speed Go-Kart Chase

Harry Lee Bostick is charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, blowing through several red lights during the chase.

A Richfield man has been charged with leading police on a high-speed chase while in a go-kart. Harry Lee Bostick, 30, is charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, a felony with a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine. A Hennepin County sheriff’s deputy was southbound on Portland Avenue just before 3 p.m. Nov. 12 when he spotted a black go-kart in the 6400 block, heading north on Portland, according to the criminal complaint, signed by Hennepin County Sheriff’s Deputy Erik McKloskey. Because the go-kart had no lights, license or registration, the deputy turned his squad car around, activated his emergency lights and began pursuing the vehicle.
