Richfield Crowns Cristian Hernandez as 2013 Fire 'N' Ice King

Hernandez was one of 11 candidates.

In a celebration before the entire student body, faculty and some staff, Richfield High School crowned Cristian Hernandez as its 2013 Fire 'N' Ice King. Cristian was escorted by Star Soto, and was one of 11 candidates for the crown. Other candidates included: Tenzin Numgyai, Andrew Allen, Andy Peterson, Austin Bolkcom, Sam Amundson, Sam Fink, Adam Aldrich, Nate Luttenegger, Kevin Krohn and Duncan Pederson. *Before the crowning, all the candidates did a little rendition of the "Harlem Shake." Richfield High School Names 2013 Fire 'N' Ice King Candidates

While the dance will be informal, 11 senior men have been nominated for court.

Richfield High School announced its 2013 Fire 'N' Ice King candidates to students Thursday morning: The Spartans King will be crowned on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at RHS. All 11 candidates are senior boys and the king will be voted on by students. The dance is Saturday, Feb. 23 from 8:30-11:30 p.m.
