Richfield Man Arrested With 99 Grams of Heroin; Charged With Three Felonies

Eric Darnell Totten, 32, is charged with three felonies: importation of a controlled substance, which has a maximum penalty of 35 years in prison and a $1.25 million fine; and first-degree drug sales and first-degree drug possession, each of which carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine. The importation charge has a mandatory minimum penalty of a $375,000 fine, and the other two have mandatory minimum penalties of $300,000 fines. Richfield Man Charged with Selling Meth at University of Minnesota

Police say Bryce William Banks arranged to sell methamphetamine to an undercover informant in the U of M's Comstock Hall.

A Richfield man has been charged with selling methamphetamine to an undercover informant in the University of Minnesota’s Comstock Hall. Bryce William Banks, 31, is charged with third-degree drug sales, a felony with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum fine of $75,000. University of Minnesota police spoke to a “cooperating individual” on Nov. 17 who told them that he had purchased methamphetamine from Banks in the past, according to the criminal complaint. The individual contacted Banks via phone and text message and made arrangements to buy $150 worth of methamphetamine at Comstock Hall, according to the complaint.
