Richfield Police Arrest Habitual Offender with Large Amounts of Heroin, Cocaine

Police arrested Thomas Rashaun Gibson when they spotted him driving too slowly in Richfield, then learned that he had large quantities of heroin and cocaine in his possession.

A Waseca man with more than a dozen failure-to-appear citations, and dozens more driving violations, is facing serious drug charges after police stopped him in Richfield and found large quantities of heroin and cocaine in his possession. Thomas Rashaun Gibson, 30, is charged with two felonies: first-degree heroin possession, which has a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and a $1 million fine, and second-degree cocaine possession, for which the maximum penalty is 40 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. Gibson is also charged with obstructing the legal process, a gross misdemeanor with a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $3,000 fine. Cops Find Nearly 14 Ounces of Marijuana in Richfield Man's Bedroom

Police say they found more than 13 ounces of marijuana in Tyrone Adair Koehn's apartment when they executed a search warrant there.

A Richfield man is facing felony drug charges after police say they found almost 14 ounces of marijuana in his apartment. Tyrone Adair Koehn, 44, is charged with fifth-degree drug possession, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. The charge has a mandatory minimum penalty of six months in jail and a $6,000 fine. Richfield police executed a search warrant at Koehn’s apartment in the 6000 block of Pleasant Avenue on Nov. 26, according to the criminal complaint. In Koehn’s bedroom, officers seized “numerous” individually wrapped packages of marijuana, a glass jar containing loose marijuana, a digital scale, drug-packaging materials and a marijuana grinder, according to the complaint.
