Chipotle Offers Halloween 'Boorito' For A Good Cause

Customers who dress in Halloween costumes between 4 p.m. and close of business Wednesday will get a burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos for $2. Proceeds up to $1 million will be donated to the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.

Chipotle recently announced the return of its popular Halloween fundraiser, Boorito. From 4 p.m. to close on Wednesday, Oct. 31, all Chipotle locations in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada will treat customers dressed in costume to a burrito, burrito bowl, salad, or order of tacos for just $2. Proceeds from the fundraiser (up to $1 million) will benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation. According to a company press release, the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to creating a more sustainable and healthful food supply and to raising awareness of food issues. This year's Penn Fest extravaganza is bigger and better than ever before. Named "Open Streets at Penn Fest" this year, the event is a combined iniative with the Penn Central of Richfield neighboorhood group, the City of Richfield and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Nearly the entire stretch of Penn Avenue (63rd to 76th streets) will be closed Sunday, Sept. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with musical groups, crafters, fitness gurus, businesses and much more lining the streets and offering activies and good deals. Monday, Labor Day, is the final day of the Great Minnesota Get-Together.

For the final day of the fair, many merchandise and food vendors are offering Last Chance bargains; flyers with deals listings are available at all information booths. It’s also Kids Day, and children age 5 to 12 pay only $7. The rides at Mighty Midway and Kidway have a one ticket discount all day.
