Richfield residents illuminate the night with lights and other holiday home decorations.
Many people in the holiday spirit travel the Twin Cities in search of bright lights and holiday decorations in the weeks before Christmas. However, there's no need to travel too far. Richfield residents have done some great decorating to lend any evening a little sparkle. We've laid out a rough tour, which corresponds with the attached photos. Enjoy! 1) Begin near the corner of Knox Avenue and 68th Street, just south of Monroe Park. The first two houses in Richfield Patch's list are visible from this corner. 2) Head south on Knox to 70th and then turn right toward Morgan Avenue. Richfield Patch announces resident Kevin Klos as the Richfield winner for the first annual Minnesota Patch Holiday Decorating Contest. Klos is now entered into the voting round where his home will compete against other winning homes from various Patch towns. Voting will begin promptly at 5 p.m. on Dec. 16 and will last through Dec. 21. You may vote for your favorite house once a day. All finalist photos are attached to this article. To place your vote for your favorite, type in the name from the photo caption into the comments section below. For example, to vote for Klos's home, type in "Kevin Klos, Richfield." Minnesota Patch announces the beginning of its Minnesota Patch Decorating Contest, which aims to recognize the best decorated house in town. We need your help to find the best house! We are calling for photo submissions of your decorated home in Richfield, which could be selected to compete against other homes for a $200 gift card to a Richfield business. Once the submission period ends, Minnesota Patch employees will select the top house from each town to compete against each other for the gift card.
