A Richfield Childhood Passion for Comics Becomes a Career

Björn Brosdahl, manager of Hot Comics and Collectibles in Richfield, describes how he turned a hobby into a full-time job—as well as his own favorite superheroes.

As an avid comic book reader and collector, Hot Comics and Collectibles was Björn Brosdahl's home away from home as a child. So it's only natural he became the store's manager six years ago. In between customers, Brosdahl talked with Richfield Patch about the business, his favorite comics and even is superhero fantasy. Richfield Patch: What were the first comics you read? Björn Brosdahl: The first comics I ever read as a little kid were The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics, and maybe the Aliens comics and some others from Dark Horse. Those really opened my eyes.
