Scott Andrew Bradley of Oakdale, who once worked as communications coordinator for the City of Richfield, got the maximum sentence, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
An Oakdale man who once served as a media liaison for the City of Richfield is now serving a 3-year, 3-month prison sentence for possessing child pornography, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported. It's the maximum sentence allowed under state sentencing guidelines, according to the report. In April 2012, Scott Andrew Bradley, 39, was charged with 16 counts of possession of child pornography on his home computer, nearly two years after authorities first began their investigation. According to a 2010 Star Tribune article, Maplewood police searched Bradley's home on April 8, 2010, removing a computer, three hard drives, three flash drives, CDs, a camera and a modem. Richfield's 21st annual city-wide garage sale event is scheduled for May 16-18—and registration to be a part of it ends Tuesday. The special event allows residents to register their sale for $20. The fee will get participants free advertising in print, radio, television and online mediums, as well as a yard sign and spot on the offcial sale map. The sale is a fundraising effort for the Richfield Community Center. To register, call the community center at 612-861-9385. Operations Superintendent Chris Link tells residents how to report potholes.
The most recent spring snow storm likely kept pothole patches off Richfield roads, but the road repair season is in full swing. City of Richfield Operations Superintendent Chris Link said crews are out and about in Richfield repairing potholes in a recent video production be the city. The only roads Richfield is not responsible for are county roads, which are Portland, Penn and Nicollet avenues, and 66th Street. To report a pothole on a city road, 612-861-9170. The city is trying to decide where to install a performance bandshell in town, and is testing two new spots this year.
For the last few years, Richfield Recreation's weekly summer concert series has been exclusively held at Augsburg Park on Thursday evening. This year, four other dates have been added as part of the "Music on the Go" series, and two venues currently vying to be the city's future outdoor performance spot are hosting the concerts. Lyndale Gardens, which is in the process of being redeveloped, and Veterans Memorial Park will each host two concerts beginning in late June. For nearly a decade, the City of Richfield has been toying with the idea of creating a music venue within the city. I'm thinking 3 years and 3 months is not enough. The maximum sentence should be reviewed. In my opinion the abuse these children, babies, animals suffer kills their spirit, their souls. Murder in a sense. Pre-meditated murder. Thus, I believe sentencing should include life without parole. These people may not be able to help their sickness. However, these people must be kept separate from society…   more ›
