(Updated) Caribou Coffee Closing at 66th and Lyndale: Sources

Richfield's two other shops appeared safe as the Brooklyn Center-based company issued a statement about nationwide closures Monday.

Updated (9:45 p.m. Monday): The Richfield Caribou Coffee shop at 6600 Lyndale Ave. S. is among 80 nationwide that the company will soon close, according to the Star Tribune: Employees at the Caribou Coffee at 5309 Lyndale Av. S. in Minneapolis and the Caribou at 6600 Lyndale Av. S. in Richfield said they were told their stores will close permanently at noon Sunday; store employees said they weren’t given a reason. Update (3 p.m. Monday): News of the Caribou closings began leaking out after a company conference call Friday morning, but e-mails to corporate headquarters had not yet been returned as of this posting. Patch's Summer Vacation Photo Contest — Grand Prize Winner Is ...

Nearly 300 votes were tallied for our four great photo finalists. Who won the grand prize?

The results are in and after nearly 300 votes, Jen Adams' picture of a stunning view from the clouds has won the finals of Patch's Summer Vacation Photo Contest. For receiving the most votes, Jen wins a the grand prize getaway to Stillwater valued up to $500 that includes an overnight stay at Water Street Inn, a Foodies on Foot adventure and a tour at Northern Vineyards Winery. Jeff Grotte's photo of a "south Moulton barn outside of Jackson on the long drive home from a roadtrip out west" was a close second with 111 votes. Jen qualified for the finals by winning the first of four weekly contests, which also netted her a $25 gift card from Caribou Coffee.
