Burger King Shutters Doors
The long-time restaurant calls it quits. While Richfield Patch couldn't get confirmation on the exact reason, recent history could shed some light.
The Burger King recently involved in a lawsuit with the city and a dispute with Menards has closed its doors. As of Sept. 8, all signs and Burger King logos have been taken down and a short and sweet, printed note has been placed on doors and windows: "Thank you for your business over the years," the note reads. "Sorry that we have closed down." Richfield Patch contacted Dolphin Fast Food Inc. for details on its decision to close, however, its call was not returned by the time this article was published. Given recent happenings, the shutdown may be the result of a recent dispute surrounding the Menards redevelopment. Greg Dolphin claims he was just was plain going to lose business in that location due to Menards being built so huge. He wanted to move to the corner where the old chi chi's was but got denied. So he said cya. His lease for the land was up and away he went.   more ›
