Woods, who also serves as Holy Angels’ dean of students and industrial technology education teacher, has 25 years of coaching experience including 18 previous years as head girls basketball coach (from 1992-2009), 25 years as football coach in several capacities, and 16 years as assistant golf coach. Eighteen students got to attend the regional science fair at the University of Minnesota.
Eighteen Blessed Trinity Catholic School seventh-grade students attended the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair (TCRSF) at the University of Minnesota Field House Feb. 24. Students who earned a Grand or First Prize ribbon based on the judging at Blessed Trinity’s Learning Fair were eligible for the Regional Science Fair. Several Blessed Trinity students earned special recognition at the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair. Brian Turner received an Inventor’s Award for his work. Alex Hoover earned an award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota. Alyse Walker and Grace Gallucci earned a TCRSF special recognition award. Nineteen Blessed Trinity Catholic School seventh-graders qualified for the upcoming Regional Science Fair at the University of Minnesota Feb. 24-25, after receiving grand and first prize awards at the school's learning fair this week. The following students qualified for the fair: The students' projects each began with a question, ranging from if exercise can improve test scores to whether or not gender plays a role in remembering dreams. Blessed Trinity middle schoolers toured the prop shop at the downtown theater.
Several Blessed Trinity Catholic School middle schoolers toured the prop shop and costume department at the Guthrie Theater Thursday morning as part of their Art Media enhancement course. Blessed Trinity students are creating props for the school's eighth-grade performance of Cinderella. The students have been busy creating a willow tree, portraits, throne, suit of armor, and other necessary props for the play. Cinderella will be performed in the Academy of Holy Angels theater on May 18.

Students wore white and said prayers for the injured hockey player.
In honor of injured hockey player Jack Jablonski, Richfield Blessed Trinity Catholic School fourth- through eighth-graders participated in a 'whiteout' event Friday. Students dressed in white, said prayers for Jablonski and his family, and monetary donations were collected for the Jack Jablonski Fund. Jablonski, a 16-year-old Benilde-St. Margaret sophomore, was checked from behind and into the boards during a junior varsity game on Dec. 30 against Wayzata. The hit left Jablonski paralyzed.
