The 24th annual event will see fans lining up at area Target stores early Thursday morning.
Hundreds of people will be lining up at area Target stores in the wee hours of Thursday morning to snatch a copy or two of this year's Cities 97 Sampler CD. Richfield Target is one of a handful of metro area Target stores that will carry the CD, which will likely sell out across the metro area within a few hours of store openings. It's unknown how many copies each store will have in stock. For 24 years, local radio station Cities 97 has created the CD and all the proceeds go to various Minnesota charities. The Sampler is a compilation of special Cities 97 studio performances that have never been released. The Patch feature is back with a twist and we want you to nominate your favorite art display in Richfield.
Over the past decade or Richfield has really been priding itself on commissioning interesting, beautiful and even strange pieces of public art. So much so, that the Richfield Arts Comission recently created a walking map and guide of all city art. In addtiion, the Secondary Education Center also unveiled its public art garden. Patch wants to know which piece is your favorite. Simply write the location and name of your favorite local art display in the comments below. The results of the annual Minnesota State Fair Education Competition are in.
Sheridan Hills Elementary School first-grader Ashley Montano took home first place in the Minnesota State Fair Education Competition's Grade 1 individual exhibit for photography.
