6th Victim of Minneapolis Workplace Shooting Dies

Eric Rivers, critically injured, now joins UPS Driver Keith Basinski among the fatalities from Andrew Engeldinger's Sept. 27 rampage at Accent Signage in Minneapolis.

Eric Rivers of St. Paul, a manager who was critically injured in the Sept. 27 shooting at Accent Signage in Minneapolis, has died, the Star Tribune reported. His family decided to take him off life support at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to Fox 9. Here is a statement from Rivers' family, released on a HCMC news blog: “Eric Rivers passed away peacefully last night. We are grateful for the incredible courage displayed by the men and women who responded to the emergency and the wonderful medical team at Hennepin County Medical Center, who cared for Eric. At this time, the family asks for privacy as we deal with this personal tragedy. We thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.” Thursday marks two weeks since Richfield …

Andrew Engeldinger Had 1997 Arrest On Record

Engeldinger was charged fleeing a police officer and reckless driving.

Richfield native Andrew Engeldinger, the man who killed five people and wounded three others in a shooting at a Minneapolis business last week, was arrested in 1997 after fleeing police and crashing his car. Police originally reported that Engeldinger had no prior record. According to an MPR article, was driving with an expired vehicle registration in Bloomington on Jan. 21, 1997 when a police officer in a squad car motioned for him to pull over. Engeldinger proceeded to accelerated between 90 and 100 mph and ran a red light before crashing into a fence by Highway 62. UPDATED: Memorial Service Times For Victims of Minneapolis Workplace Shooting

Memorials have occurred or been set for many of those who died following the incident at Accent Signage Systems, Inc. last Thursday.

While two victims remain hospitalized at HCMC, funeral services for those who died following the shooting incident at Accent Signage Systems, Inc. in Minneapolis are underway. Company founder Reuven Rahamim, 61, of St. Louis Park, was honored Sunday at Beth El Synagogue in his hometown. Services for Rami Cooks, 62, of Minnetonka, were also held Sunday. Ron Edberg, 58, of Brooklyn Center, will be remembered at a 7 p.m. Tuesday service at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home in Anoka. A funeral for Jacob Beneke, 34, of Maple Grove, is scheduled for noon Wednesday at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Brooklyn Center. UPDATED: The Victims Of The Minneapolis Workplace Shooting

Six people, including the shooter, died following the incident at Accent Signage Systems. Two others remain in the care of HCMC.

The names of all those who died following the mass shooting at Accent Signage Systems in Minneapolis have been released along with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's reports. Andrew Engeldinger, 36 Andrew Engeldinger of Minneapolis was the shooter involved in Thursday's incident. Engeldinger was a Richfield native who reportedly struggled with mental illness for many years. After being let go from his job at Accent Signage Systems, he returned and carried out the shootings. He then turned the gun on himself. The medical examiner's report states he died after a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head. Richfield's congressional representative expresses his sadness for the Thursday shootings at a Minneapolis business.

Following the Thursday shootings at a Minneapolis business that left five dead, including the shooter, and others critically injured, Congressman Keith Ellison expressed his sadness in a statement Friday. "I am deeply saddened by last night's deadly shooting at Accent Signage in Minneapolis, and my thoughts are with the families of those lost," he said. "Now is a time for the Minneapolis metropolitan community to come together in mourning and solidarity."
