Man Charged with Snatching Deposit Bags at Richfield Bank
Police say Abel Goumanquah Miamen grabbed two bags containing $15,000 in cash and fled with them, then hid beneath a car in a nearby garage.
A Bloomington man has been charged with snatching two bank deposit bags containing $15,000 from a gas station manager in Richfield, then fleeing and hiding under a car in a nearby unlocked garage. Abel Goumanquah Miamen, 25, is charged with theft from person, a felony with a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Officers were called to investigate a robbery in the 6400 block of Nicollet Avenue South just before 11 a.m. Nov. 19, according to the criminal complaint, signed by Richfield Police Detective Patrick Moriarty. They spoke to the victim, a gas station manager, who said he was in the area to make a cash deposit at the Wells Fargo Bank branch.
