Businesses open their doors and offer deals to promote the Penn Avenue business corridor and get local residents out and about.
While many but a brave few were scared away by the rain, Richfield's fourth annual Penn Fest still boasted good deals and entertainment along Penn Avenue between 68th and 62nd streets Sunday. The neighborhood businesses and residents came together through the Penn Central of Richfield neighborhood group to put the event together for all to enjoy. While many businesses featured food or other items starting at $.66, some businesses such as Uncommon Sports Cards—which had former Minnesota Viking Tommy Kramer signing autographs—stepped it up a bit. One business that kept customers happy and dry with $.66 tap beers and a TV with the Vikings game playing was Lariat Lanes. Check out the above gallery for a look at what you missed.
