Adams Hill Park

Adam's Hill Park is known by most Richfield residents for its large and steep sledding hill, but prior to 1981 the landMore was a marshy storm water holding area. The holding area was not large enough to handle the amount of overflow. Since then, the city has redeveloped the land to installed a larger holding pond, with a water pump on the south side of the park. In addition, walking paths, sports courts and playground equipment have been updated to complete the park. There is also open field space to create soccer or football fields. The park is located on the far west side of the city, close to the Edina/Richfield border.
Taft Park

Taft Park is located in the far northeast corner of Richfield, behind the Cedar Point Commons retail development. ThisMore large neighborhood park and sports complex comprises more than 40 acres and features four lighted softball fields and a lighted football/soccer field. The park also has a view of the lake, walking paths, basketball court, tennis courts, playground area and hockey and pleasure rinks. Open land also serves as a great picnicking area.
Washington Park

Acquired by the city in 1958, Washington Park is equipped with a football/soccer field, a basketball court, a softballMore field, two tennis courts and a playground area. There is also about a half-mile of paved walking paths within the park.

Uncommon Sports Cards sells baseball, football, basketball, hockey, racing and soccer cards and memorabilia. The storeMore also carries gaming cards such as Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Chaotic and World of Warcraft. According to owner Rich Huemmer, weekends are the busiest time at Uncommon Sports Cards since kids, a target group of the store, are off of school. He says he also sees many customers stop by before a sports game to buy an item that can be autographed by players. The store has been in Richfield since the 1980s.
Donaldson Park

The land that is now Donaldson Park was acquired in 1958 after the Donaldson Corporation donated it to the city. TheMore site was also in the running to be the location for Southdale Mall. Now, it is a large park that hosts a variety of sporting events and also serves as an extra space for Richfield Middle School physical education activities. The park features a soccer/football field, bounce court, four tennis courts, two hockey rinks and two baseball diamonds. One of the baseball fields is dedicated to the memory of Gordon Larson, who was a member of the Minnesota Babe Ruth Baseball Hall of Fame and worked for years to support youth baseball in Minnesota.
