Police say Maggie Marie Johnson pointed the gun out her apartment doorway at two girls, ages 11 and 13, and at the girls' mother.
A Richfield woman has been charged with pointing a BB gun at three residents of her apartment complex, including and 11- and 13-year-old. Maggie Marie Johnson, 30, faces three felony counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, each of which carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine. Police were called to the apartment building in the 7200 block of Cedar Avenue South on May 13 on a report of someone with a gun. According to the criminal complaint, signed by Richfield Police Det. Patrick Moriarty, officers spoke to a woman who told them that her two daughters, ages 11 and 13, were walking down the apartment hallway to let her into the building. The crash occurred shortly before 9 p.m.
Last Update: 9 p.m. on May 16, 2012. A Lexus crashed into the front facade of a one-story house on the 7600 block of 12th Avenue just before 9 p.m. Monday night. According to Twin Cities Fire Wire, Richfield firefighters shut off the gas service to the home and checked the stability of the home. A Hennepin EMS crew also responded, however, no one was transported. There didn't appear to be any injuries. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined. Monet Mecca Dunnorm was charged in January with stealing almost $1,500 worth of lingerie from Victoria's Secret. A little more than a month later, she was arrested in Burnsville and charged with stealing clothing from Kohl's department store.
A Richfield woman—who is already facing Hennepin County charges of stealing nearly $1,500 worth of lingerie from Victoria’s Secret—was arrested Monday on a warrant charging her with stealing clothing from Kohl’s in Burnsville. Monet Mecca Dunnorm, 18, remains in the Dakota County Jail on a $300 bond, but she is also being held on a $20,000 bond out of Hennepin County. She appeared Tuesday at a bail hearing in Dakota County District Court in Hastings. A warrant for Dunnorm’s arrest was issued by Hennepin County authorities after she failed to appear April 6 at a hearing on the Victoria’s Secret charges. Officials believe her death was the result of a suicide.
Editor's Note: The following is a press release from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. A 25 year-old woman who was in custody at the Hennepin County Jail in Minneapolis died today. At approximately 1 p.m. Monday, a female inmate was found unresponsive in her cell from an apparent suicide attempt. Deputies immediately began CPR and paramedics continued emergency medical treatment and transported the woman to Hennepin County Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The woman had been in jail for approximately one month after being arrested by Bloomington Police on a charge of aggravated robbery. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time,” said Chief Deputy Mike Carlson.
