What is now Christian Park was formerly the Christian Family Farm. The city believes it was acquired in 1947; however, the date could be even earlier. A large neighborhood park, Christian Park can also be used as an athletic complex, as it has almost every imaginable amenity: a football/soccer field, a softball field, a basketball court, walking paths, pleasure and hockey rinks, four tennis courts, play equipment, picnic tables and a park shelter.
